Kinetic art is art that contains moving parts or depends on motion for its effect. The moving parts are generally powered by wind, a motor or by the creator. Kinetic art encompasses a wide variety of overlapping techniques and styles.

I do not subscribe to the very narrow notion that Kinetic Art is primarily sculptural in nature. There are a rare few who’s work as painters have invaded the world of Kinetic Art. So compelling was their imagery even the most rigid Kinetic subscribers had to open their hearts to the notion that Kinetic art could be two dimensional and didn’t have to move except when traveling from museum to museum.

Of all the artists with in the Kinetic movement, Nadir Afonso Rodrigues has developed a style that crossed multiple boundaries moving geometric abstractionism into multiple studies capturing movement as one single two dimensional image at the moment of pure motion, captured in a state of climax. It is hear I take my cue by creating digital images that not only move through digital animation but makes use of the  artworks that can run on there owen as two dimensional kinetic imagery.

The bottom line should be very simple, since the so called Kinetic artists don’t owen the word Kinetic it means what I choose it to mean and it goes where I want it to go. Be advised Art critics, intellectuals academics, pundits  and such I’ll offer a reasonable solution, quid pro quo. I’ll not impose upon your definition and you’ll not impose upon mine which is “What ever moves you defines the New Renaissance Kinetic Art. The definition is totally subjective by connotation and intent.” Enjoy and have some fun with it!
